John Doggett: A Man of Words
When Robert Patrick joined the X-Files as Agent John Doggett, it was probably Scully throwing the water in his face in his first episode that caused most fans to quickly warm up to him. It was impossible not to like this former New York City detective. He was charming, no-nonsense, witty, had a crush on Scully (oh yeah) and was a damn good agent.
Mr. Val and I quickly realized that John Doggett had these great little phrases he used so we kept a little notepad with us on the couch. I now present, our favorite John Doggett phrases:
From Without:
From Patience:You painted me a picture, now put a frame on it.
From Roadrunners:The only thing I know about the paranormal is men are from Mars, women are from Venus.
From Salvage [note, "they" is really "their", but it's how he pronounces it]:I just talked to a guy who had a gun in his pocket and I don't mean he was happy to see me.
From Salvage and Badlaa:I saw guys take hits in the war that kept right on fightin', holdin' they insides in they hands.
From Lord of the Flies:Dollars for donuts...
From Underneath:The only reason this case is attracting flies is somebody's full of crap.
From Jump the Shark (deleted scene):Enough people tell you you're drunk, it's time to lie down.
...so full of crap his eyes are brown.

I have a notebook where I write down quotes from "House". I still go back and laugh.
"X-ray her uterus and see if you find something that doesn't look cute in a Onesie." Dr. House.
Snort!
And it was SUCH a contrast to see him as the pitiful gambling addict on The Sopranos. He's an incredible actor.
I only saw him in T2 and there are rumors he's going to be on Sarah Connor Chronicles!! I've got my fingers crossed!
I never did like Doggett, or the other new agent. It just wasn't the same X-Files. I actually skipped most of the last season until Mulder and Scully came back.
But those are some good quotes.
Oh, he was much better as a Terminator.
On a similar note, the first thing I ever saw Robert Patrick in was Wayne's World when he did his parody of T2. :-D I didn't get that scene for years.
So bad, it's good. Kinda like a '70s blaxpoitation film.
