Fuck It's Cold!

Comments

oh you poor child. over here we are enjoying a (relatively) balmy windchill of 5 below.
and I join you in the WTF. temps are expected to be on the 50s tomorrow and on the 60s on the weekend.
a thankful WTF, though.

Here have this. [passes hot cocoa]
[takes hot cocoa]
puff, puff, pass
erm...
it might be warmer up there Mon. than it will be here!

we have a major rain and windstorm coming in, snow down to some redonk low elevation and possibility of thunderstorms (WTF?)

it was 0 temp here earlier, it's up to 8 now. I have no idea what the wind chill is, and I really don't want to know. I bought a small heater/fan and put it under my desk a couple of weeks ago, and my fingers are still cold. brrrr

WTF is with the increasing temps this weekend? At least it should get rid of the icicles hanging from my roof.

it's not nearly that cold here but it's frickin cold enough anyway. At least the wind died down, but these ARE the days when I come inside and say my thanks to whomever is in charge, for heat and shelter and all that good stuff, and tell Elvis how lucky we are. Plus I realized me & Elvy have on near-matching red rollneck wool sweatahs! hee!
You two are so damn cute I can hardly stand it. :-) You should dress alike and go have your pictures taken.
[this is good]
Yay for warmer weather!!!!!!!!
that LL Bean coat-- that good, hunh? I've heard their stuff is great.......
lol.. oh, you're getting some crazy warmth next week too? its going up to around 12 for most of the week... then it will probably go down to -30 and snow another 5 inches. lol. i hate the winter!
You have to be a certain build to wear LL Bean stuff. I'm 5'7, 125 lbs and have narrow hips and monkey arms. I really don't think my body type is very unusual, but I cannot wear Bean's women's clothing. The arms are almost always too short, as are the legs. I think the stuff was made for those sturdy New England ladies, not lanky Midwestern gals. It's great stuff, they've got incredible customer service - I once returned a five-year-old sweater because it had a hole in it, the couldn't have been nicer about it. So even though I'm skinny, I have to buy large sweaters and they never fit quite right. Same with their coats, I needed a Large size coat because the medium was far too small. I've kind of given up on Bean, but I do love my winter coat, it is SOOOO warm.
I don't mind the snow once it drops down into the teens or lower. Then it's light and fluffy. As painful as the deep freeze can be, I hope we do get a good one this year. Our spring was all fucked up in 2007 because it stayed above zero (Fahrenheit) for most of the winter. We had one week in a January a number years ago when it stayed at -30 for about 7 days straight. I had my POS car (that I mentioned in your Clifford post today) during that winter. Without heat, I had to wrap myself in a blanket under my seat belt for my 8 mile trek to work (and I still had to stop on the way to add oil!). worst. winter. ever.
wow I didn't realize the sizes would be so different! That's great about their customer service-- so unusual today!
