I received the following e-mail from Mr. Val last week:
Wow. I was just mindlessly entering sweepstakes while listening to a podcast, when I looked up and noticed I had just entered to win a chance to "party with Vanilla Ice".
So THAT'S what 80's celebrities are doing now...
I didn't burst his bubble and tell him that Vanilla Ice didn't reach mainstream popularity until 1990 (and that only lasted until 1991).
Later on, Mr. Val did tell me what he would say to Vanilla Ice if he wins the party:
Dude, I totally loved the Ninja Rap.
